coopOS

coopOS is an easy-to-use, easy-to-deploy Point of Sale (POS) for small business cooperatives. Built with cafes and bookstores in mind, coopOS manages sales, shifts and inventory with ease. This application is written in accessible web languages (PHP, MySQL and Javascript) to encourage modification and customization but runs smoothly as a desktop application in conjunction with LAMP and Google Chrome’s “application shortcut” feature.

coopOS was developed for Firestorm Cafe & Books (http://firestormcafe.com) using Linux Mint, an Ubuntu derivative.

Today’s small-to-medium-sized (SMB) businesses and large enterprises are saving on their monthly communications costs by making one simple decision: to switch to a VoIP service solution from their old, outdated Plain Old Telephone Service (POTS). By choosing a new VoIP service, these companies enjoy the flexibility, reliability, call features, and audio quality that only a VoIP service can provide. Plus, they cut their phone bill by up to 70%!
