Debian-Reiser4

Alpha release of new Software Format Release Number (SFRN) 4.0.1 Reiser4 -enabled Debian Jessie for AMD64 netboot installer ISO image.

Netboot ISO Image may be ‘burned’ to USB stick with command (assuming USB device is at /dev/sdb) *else* modify or you risk data loss:
dd if=metztli.iso of=/dev/sdb bs=4M; sync

Enables Debian Jessie AMD64 installer to partition, format, and natively install onto Reiser4 root filesystem. Note that you must create a small 100 to 150 MB boot partition (ext2/3/4, etc) as GRUB does not support booting from reiser4.

I recommend expert install; notwithstanding, even in non-expert install mode Reiser4 -enabled kernel & Reiser4progs utilities will be fetched via SSL connection from metztli.it and will be installed by default during last phase of this Debian-Installer (d-i).

If used as rescue media, please don’t forget to
modprobe reiser4
in a virtual screen (ALT+F)
*before* getting to the Debian-Installer media partition/formatting routine
