netObservator is a simple to use sniffer to give you an overview of the connections of your computer.
For a quick start just select the device of your internet connection and click the “Run”-button. If you press this button a second time, the program will stop to sniff.
Only information about the first packet of a connection with a host will be displayed. This will give you an overview of the hosts you are currently connected with.
By default the information will be stored in Pcap dump files. You can search on these files and visualize them interactively. There are Plotters for the traffic and an interactive Statistics dialog. Moreover there is an editor for filtering expressions.
That’s new in the last release:
+ All information in headers of a packet can be displayed now
+ Switched to pcap dump files for storing information
+ All pcap Files of a Folder can be open simultaniously for Plotting and the Statistics Dialog
+ Tool Bar
+ Bug Fixes
