This free and simple to use timer and stopwatch is created by Nathansoftware.com. The Stopwatch Timer is easy to use and has many customizable options including alarm sounds and advanced settings that allow you to lock or hibernate your computer when the timer goes off.

This project is actively supported and new features including launching on startup are soon to come.
