ION-DTN

The Interplanetary Overlay Network (ION) software distribution is an implementation of Delay-Tolerant Networking (DTN) architecture as described in Internet RFC 4838. It includes implementations of Bundle Protocol, Licklider Transmission Protocol, and other protocols that are intended to be usable in embedded environments including spacecraft flight computers.

NOTES:
1. Still investigating FreeBSD anomalies. If you run into problems, please post to ion-dtn-support.
2. All versions of ION have been tested and run fine on Apple OS X up through 10.6.8, but semaphore size changed in OS X 11; until we figured that out, ION didn’t run in OS X 11. We think v.3.6.0b fixes that.
3. This was originally going to be an ISS-only release, but it ended up fixing so many bugs that it’s now the mainline release.
